Re: Man Accidentally Shoots Toilet

This is exactly why I take it out of the holster and set it on the back of shitter every time. IWB, OWB, shoulder or SOB, always goes on the back of the toilet, just in case. Wasn't there a thread about someone leaving a gun in a starbucks when they tried that? or was that a fallout too? Lol, can't...

I think we've proven I'm crazy. And I said it was something good to aim for, not that he would ever get there.

Re: what powder for 55 and 62gr bullets from pistol

Have you re-loaded the 5.7x28mm before? It's incredibly sensitive. If you are comfortable giving it a go, I would say start with True Blue, it's about the best powder you can get without going custom. 1700fps should be a reasonable goal for the 55gr, be careful with the 62 grains, if they are pretty...

Re: Has anyone seen this before?

It comes down to a fundamental lack of knowledge. You're far more likely to kill with your car driving to and from work everyday than you are a properly maintained gun collection. The issue is not the people who know what they're doing, it's the people who don't.

Re: 1911 questions

The slide will travel back to far and start bending things. I've actually seen it. Bent frames, ruined recoil spring guides, broken barrel links or barrel link pins. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure a barrel pushing slamming into the notch on the barrel would do some really gnarly things to your ...

Re: 1911 questions

1) Wolff springs will go 3-7K depending on round and load, a 9mm is going to last a lot longer, even with hot loads than a .45 or 10mm with hot loads. 2) I like em, they do increase the accuracy and reliability of a gun that isn't built as tight as a true custom. 3) Gimmick, some guys like them beca...

Re: 1911 race gun

Step one sounds like it needs to be go with lower power rounds, will decrease recoil and follow up times. Secondly, a compensator is about the best you can do, at least a good one is, I have an internally compensated G35 that fires like a dream. You should talk to our newest forum sponsor Radical Pr...

Re: Best .40 S&W loads?

Midway's got them, so I'm sure just about any reloading supply place will have them. They're extremely popular. They're my standard carry in everything .355" and up. I generally go for the higher velocity lower weight, though not neccissarily the lowest weight, gives a higher muzzle energy, though t...

Re: Best .40 S&W loads?

Double tap is in fact a brand:
Double Tap .40S&W loads

I like the 165gr Gold Dot's for .40 personally. The 125gr Gold dots in .357Sig. They offer a lot of good options though, just depends on what you're looking for.

Re: 36 grain Varmint Grenade

If you check out Barnes' website, you'll see a video of the varmint grenade coming apart on a seedless grape. Not a likely choice for penetrating steel. +1 good self defense round against plain clothes attackers because of this explosive effect, not good for penetration. most likely would not make ...

Re: Best .40 S&W loads?

I recommend any .40S&W load that's been necked down to fire 9mm/.355 bullets. :D

All joking aside, they're pretty pricey, but I've had good luck with double tap ammo.

It's a trick, do not stare directly into the boobies, there is another attempting to flank you while you're distracted. They stole that trick from the pirates!

Very nice, very nice indeed, I know you wouldn't sell it without test-firing at least a couple. What were you testing them in?
