This is a recent letter from the ATF, retracting the 2008 letter that BBS wasn't "brass" and therefore not AP in a handgun..

How apropos. There are a tonne of paranoid OCD people on this forum, I can already here them stocking up on more AR15 magazines to add to their collection because of that link. :lmao:User42 wrote:http://www.dhmo.org/
Give that link to troll any overly paranoid friend. For some awesome quotes check the FAQ "DHMO is a major component of acid rain"

I have been reading a lot about this the last few (restless) nights. From what I understand, you can buy AP bullets but not loaded ammo. SoOoOo, I have been looking at .308 Die sets. I guess if you want AP .308 you just have to load it yourself.SeaHawkDriver-B wrote:I jsut want to know who the hell makes a .308 caliber handgun... pisses me off I can't buy AP for a friggin .308 rifle, granted a stanard 7.62 Ball will punch through about a half inch of cold rolled steel, but put it against the hardened stuff and it flops.
As I understand it, its not that someone makes a .308 handgun but that someone makes a .308 gun which can be classified as a handgun.SeaHawkDriver-B wrote:I jsut want to know who the hell makes a .308 caliber handgun... pisses me off I can't buy AP for a friggin .308 rifle, granted a stanard 7.62 Ball will punch through about a half inch of cold rolled steel, but put it against the hardened stuff and it flops.
