I have my AR57 upper on a Rock River Arms lower - I wouldn't think that it would make a difference but ???

Re: Durability with red dot sight?

AIMPOINT - OMG :lmao: I wouldn't think to put that on a pistol unless it was maybe a 223. I tried one on my Kel-Tec and did not like it - the C-More is better suited for that type of weapon. But then everyone has a preference based on what works for them. I tried the Aimpoint on a GSG-5PK and it's O...

Re: Durability with red dot sight?

Ahhh - I have the Elite Rail Adapter with a "Docter" red dot - only 1K rnds thru it and so far no problems - the Five-seveN looks like they are well constructed from what I have seen - internal steel with polymer outer shell where sturdy is required - no cheap short-cuts. What Red Dot was used that ...

Re: Durability with red dot sight?

What type of pistol??
I have a Red Dot (Docter) on my FNH Five-seveN and one on my wife's Walther P22 - the weight is VERY slight and neither has shown any issues. The Five-seveN has a Slide Mount and the Walther has a Frame Mount rig.

Re: Forum Input for Cans

My test results - on the YHM Phantom Ti on an AR57 SBR is a rating of 4 (firing SS197). I have basicaly the same setup as jgreenberg01 (nice video - thanks). It does make a distinctive 'swishing-ping' sound - I think that's the bullet breaking the sound barrier just as it exits and it's quickly foll...

Re: Durability with red dot sight?

I have a C-More on my AR57 and a 'China Repro' (from eBay) on my Kel-Tec PLR 223. Tough to tell the difference - performance and durability is equal. They are a CQB sight and designed for that purpose - that said still good to 25 yards and beyond. I have a Docter mounted on my Five-seveN pistol and ...

Many thanks for this tip! That's a GREAT price and FREE SHIPPING - you can't beat it.
I have an AR57 and a Five-seveN and they are such a joy to shoot I go through this stuff faster than I can reload.

jthwan22 wrote:I try it on 2 different lower too and it won't lock the bolt back. I use a dremal and cut a 45 degree slot on the upper so the bolt catch can swing higher and now I can lock the bolt back.
Any chance you can snap a photo and Post ot Email ??? - I dodn't want to screw up a nive upper :D

Re: ATI vs. PAW 5.7 upper

They don't even think ATI sells the T-14 (.410 Upper) any more -- But I was asking about the ATI AR57 Upper (the 5.7x28) like the PDW / 57 Center upper.

Re: ATI vs. PAW 5.7 upper

What ever became of the ATI AR57 Upper?? I can't seem to find any info about it. Did they drop it like the T-14 .410 Upper from Turkey? I ended up buying an AR57 from BOTACH - is it the PDW upper? and did 57 Center buy them or the rights to manufacture? Just looking for some history since you folks ...

Re: FN FiveseveN Pistol Variants

I ordered a set of All Black Controls from FN (I don't like the Gray - personal preference). I received a partial order a month ago and still waiting for the other pieces before installing them all. I think it just looks better in black and an easy swap. Cost was under $20 (plus my labor).

Did you check around for info on that Polymer Lower - I checked them out and decided against it - if yer gonna spend $200 for an SBR stamp - you mi...

Re: New 5.7 Owner Pics Added

Well with the ar57 you still get 50rds compared to 30rds and if you don't use a mag as a brass catcher it is super slim as apposed to an ar15 with a 30rd mag sticking out the bottom. So it's still in a small package :) My AR with the stock collapsed and the magazine out is still considerably larger...

OK now I'm in with both feeet. 'In for a dime - in for a dollar' as they say. Well, more like several hundred dollars. Started reloading since I go thru ammo twice as fast with the addition of a Five-seveN pistol. We don't really learn much about that kinda stuff in my Electrical Engineering classes  .
